Description Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales activities to drive group, corporate, and local negotiated business for RISE Uptown.
  • Actively prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities; maintain a robust pipeline and weekly activity goals.
  • Conduct frequent in-market sales calls, property tours, networking events, and client meetings throughout Phoenix.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, event planners, DMCs, and community partners.
  • Leverage knowledge of independent/lifestyle hotel positioning to create compelling proposals and experiences.
  • Prepare and present customized proposals, contracts, and rate agreements.
  • Manage the sales process from inquiry to contract execution with speed, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with the operations and F&B teams (Lylo Swim Club & Don Woods’ Say When) to ensure flawless event and group execution.
  • Track account performance, maintain accurate records in CRM, and report weekly on sales activities, bookings, and revenue progress.
  • Represent RISE Uptown at local industry events, trade shows, community gatherings, and client activations.
  • Support marketing initiatives, including content, social media, and promotional campaigns tailored to key segments.
  • Uphold RISE Uptown’s brand values—creativity, authenticity, community, and exceptional service.
Position Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for generating new business, expanding existing account partnerships, and driving revenue across group, transient, corporate, and local negotiated segments. This role requires an experienced, tenacious, and highly proactive “hunter”—someone who thrives on uncovering opportunity, building long‑term relationships, and closing business. The ideal candidate has a strong local network, deep knowledge of the Phoenix hospitality market, and prior experience in lifestyle or independent hotel sales.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hotel sales experience
    , preferably in lifestyle, boutique, or independent properties.
  • Proven “hunter” mentality—driven, persistent, proactive, and energized by finding and winning new business.
  • Established network within the Phoenix market and strong understanding of local demand drivers.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills and a reputation as a trusted hospitality partner.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and closing high‑quality business.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, hotel sales platforms, and revenue management fundamentals.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for events, networking, and client needs.
