Location: Near Loop 202 / Priest Dr

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Experience:

Preferred

Salary: $86,000-$92,000 annually depending on years of RN experience and education

Additional Language Differential Pay: Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic, Farsi, Swahili or ASL ≈ $2/hour (Approximately $4,160 Annually)

Responsibilities
  • The Lead RN carries a reduced caseload to allow for supervision/admin time.
  • Work collaboratively with site operational and clinical leaders to ensure an efficient workflow.
  • Communicate & coordinate changes in workflow or services to the medical assistants and the providers.
  • Serve as a member of the site management team, helping the Director of Nursing ensure effective coordination and communication with the site nursing staff; identify and help overcome barriers to quality nursing care with the Medical Director.
  • Ensure initial and ongoing competencies for Medical Assistants and Nurses; manage training records for the MAs; collaborate with other Lead RNs to implement trainings and competencies.
  • Clinically supervise all RNs and Contract RNs at the site, including participation in performance reviews.
  • Address clinical and administrative performance, be available for clinical consultation and support, participate in peer reviews, grand rounds, monitoring activities, and corrective action plans as required to deliver quality nursing care.
  • Participate with the Director of Nursing in recruiting onsite nursing staff; orient and mentor new staff to nursing standards and site performance expectations; support retention efforts.
  • Screen and monitor patients for medical problems/side effects; manage the medication system; ensure documentation of visits, medication administration and services on the date of service.
  • Promote and role model practice according to the recovery model; employ motivational interviewing; assist patients to define and achieve recovery goals.
  • Coordinate integrated treatment services with ACT team members and other providers to ensure continued community-based treatment as appropriate.
  • Work with informal support systems to provide clinical skills training for informal supports, such as family, landlords, and employers.
