Registered Nurse – Patient Services (Thu‑Sat, 6 am–6 pm)
Aurora Behavioral Health System – Arizona’s Largest Free‑Standing Psychiatric Hospital System
The Role
We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Patient Services department in a full‑time, 12‑hour day shift role. As a Patient Services Intake RN, you will screen, assess, and prioritize patients based on clinical need to ensure timely care. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct clinical screenings and assessments to determine patient needs and level of care.
- Prioritize patients by illness severity and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop appropriate care plans.
- Ensure individuals are referred to the most suitable internal or external services and resources.
- Review referral packets from emergency departments, crisis teams, and private practice to verify medical necessity and ensure compliance with admission criteria.
- Work closely with psychiatrists, medical staff, and the A/R department to ensure smooth, efficient admissions processes.
- Apply the Admission Criteria and Medical Necessity guidelines to all evaluations.
- Full‑time, 12‑hour day shifts
- Thursday‑Saturday, 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
