Animal Shelter Major Gifts Officer (Part Time)

Pay: $24–$29/hour

Schedule: 15–25 hours/week | Hybrid

Location: Tempe, AZ

Lost Our Home Pet Rescue is a local, no-kill nonprofit dedicated to helping pets and pet parents in crisis. We are seeking a Part-Time Major Gifts Officer to help grow and manage our major donor program through meaningful relationship-based fundraising.

This is a hands-on role focused on donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, reporting directly to the Director of Philanthropy and working closely with the Executive Director, Philanthropy Committee, our Board of Directors, and key staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors
• Build and manage a portfolio of major giftdonors andprospects
• Track donor activity using Bloomerang
  
  CRM and fundraising software
• Collaborate with leadership and board members on donor engagement
• Develop and implement individualized cultivation and solicitation strategies.
• Prepare compelling proposals and participate in direct donor solicitations, including face-to-face meetings.
• Ensure timely, thoughtful acknowledgment, recognition of donors, and stewardship of gifts to foster long-term donor relationships.
• Support fundraising events and sponsor ships

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience with major gifts
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Hands-on experience with donor databases (Bloomerang preferred)
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a part-time role
• Ability to attend community events, donor meetings, and occasional evening or weekend activities as needed. Required attendance at our annual Sit. Stay. Brunch Fundraiser in November.
