The Student Campaign Solicitation Assistant serves in partnership with the ASU Foundation for a New American University’s (ASUF) Annual Giving office to support and execute solicitation campaigns. Although not exclusively, this role will primarily work on the University’s largest day of giving:
Sun Devil Giving Day. The role will be integral for the success of the day and help to execute and plan Sun Devil Giving Day. This position interacts with partners from all areas of the university to identify audiences and audience segmentation required for campaigns. This position allows students to gain experience working in an office setting and develop skills in communication, data/audience management, project management, and donor outreach.
You’ll Do
- Helps to plan and execute the University’s largest day of giving:
Sun Devil Giving Day - Project management for central and university partner campaigns
- Coordinates projects via direct mail, email, social and calling channels in support of the Annual Giving annual plan
- Partners across departments to request campaign audiences and/or segmented lists
- Manages the tracking and reporting elements for annual giving campaigns
- Assists with meetings and/or event arrangements, preparation, etc.
- Assists with special projects requested and in partnership with the Annual Giving team
- Other duties as assigned
- Excellent customer relation skills, communication and follow through
- Ability to think creatively to solve problems and find solutions
- Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Ability to identify areas of opportunity
- Ability to take initiative and set priorities while being flexible
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Foundation and University business and confidential prospect information
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and/or deadlines
- Collaborative style, combined with the ability and desire to work in a team-based environment
- Ability to quickly learn new office programs as needed
- A current undergraduate or graduate student at Arizona State University. Student must be willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreement
- This position requires you to work from the office approximately 15 - 20 hours per week – scheduled between 8am and 5pm Monday – Friday
