As an Assembly Mechanic, you will play a key role in building, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. Responsibilities include identifying worn or damaged parts, ordering replacements, and ensuring all machinery operates correctly.
Key Responsibilities- Construct and assemble mechanical components to meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and conduct tests to verify functionality and safety.
- Detect parts requiring replacement due to wear or malfunction.
- Place orders for new parts as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; apprenticeship or formal training may be required.
0–2 years of experience in the field or related area.
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in mechanical assembly.
Ability to work under direct supervision and follow established guidelines.
Special ConsiderationsPhysical Requirements: Lifting up to 30 lbs without significant repetition.
Exposure: Moderate exposure to machinery, chemicals, biological agents, and physical risks.
Equipment: May operate powered industrial trucks (classified as industrial or heavy depending on exposure).
