Role Summary

A Banquet Houseperson takes part in servicing our food and beverages to our guests around our beautiful rooftop pool and cabanas. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction. A Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the setup, breakdown, and servicing of all meeting rooms and spaces.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with setup, breakdown, and servicing of meeting rooms and spaces.
  • Serve guests in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner.
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations.
Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Ability to communicate well with guests and be a team player.
  • Knowledge of equipment and setup styles used in meeting rooms (e.g., different table types such as round and schoolroom).
  • Ability to lift and move multiple tables, chairs, and podiums weighing up to 100 lbs through a crowded room.
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing up to 500 lbs.
  • Ability to perform considerable physical activity on a continuous basis during setup and breakdown.

Safety & Security: Adhere to hotel security policies and procedures, including key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and reporting safety hazards.
