Role Overview

A Banquet Houseperson takes part in servicing food and beverages to guests around our rooftop pool and cabanas. This task should be performed in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner to achieve a high level of guest satisfaction. A Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the setup, breakdown, and servicing of all meeting rooms and spaces.

Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Ability to communicate well with guests
  • Willingness to pitch in and help co-workers; strong team player
  • Knowledge of various types of equipment and setup styles used in meeting rooms (e.g., different table types such as round, schoolroom, etc.)
  • Ability to lift and move multiple tables, chairs, and podiums weighing up to 100 lbs through a crowded room
  • Ability to perform considerable physical activity during setup and breakdown
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or move goods on a hand cart/truck weighing up to 500 lbs

Safety & Security: Adhere to hotel security policies and procedures, including key controls, safe handling of heavy objects, chemical safety, and reporting safety hazards.
