About the position:
The Sales & Catering Coordinator at The Marriott Buttes, plays a crucial role in the hotel's success. This position involves managing incoming inquiries for groups and meetings, assisting with contracts and room blocks, and ensuring effective communication with the hotel team to meet guest and client expectations. - Serve as the first point of contact for incoming sales and event calls, responding promptly and professionally.
- Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills with a focus on detail.
- Utilize digital sales and events systems to understand hotel revenue strategies and achieve goals.
- Manage room blocks, client notifications, and other administrative tasks related to group bookings and events.
- Track and communicate event details with internal partners and external clients throughout the event lifecycle.
- Participate in internal meetings and client site visits, preparing necessary reports and communications.
- Monitor all aspects of pre-event, event, and post-event details, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Gain knowledge of the hotel's food and beverage offerings and function space to support event success.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration within the hotel team to achieve overall goals.
- Pursue career development opportunities and advocate for personal growth.
- Consistently meet sales and events activity goals as outlined by management.
- Experience in hospitality sales or event coordination.
- Familiarity with CITY.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
