A Valet-Parking Attendant services our guests around the hotel. You will be part of a great team of helpful people who are passionate about delivering exceptional service. This role is performed in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner to achieve a very high level of guest satisfaction.
The Valet Attendant is a key member of the front drive and arrival team. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving guest and visitors’ vehicles safely, assisting guests with luggage upon check-in and check-out, and assisting with luggage as needed.
RequiredSkills and Abilities
Must be able to communicate, read and comprehend reading and writing materials in English; additional languages are valuable. Self-starting with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Communicate well with guests. Willingness to pitch in and help coworkers. Knowledge of hotel service, local area events and activities. Ability to drive vans, limousines and automobiles. Excellent driving record (Motor Vehicle Report).
Ability to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists. Ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs and work outdoors in varied weather. Ability to run short distances to retrieve vehicles. Ability to stand, walk, or sit and perform essential job functions, including bending and stooping as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current, valid driver’s license with satisfactory motor vehicle report for 3 years; annual renewals; good driving record; knowledge of basic vehicle functions; manual transmission knowledge preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Knowledge of state driving laws
- Exceptional communication skills, detail oriented, and ability to learn in a dynamic environment
- Flexible schedule; willing to work beyond scheduled hours if necessary
- Multitasking skills and telephone etiquette

Maintain a positive guest experience through professional, courteous, and respectful interactions with guests and associates at all times.

Meet and strive to exceed resort standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance. Be adaptable to change and willing to learn new skills.

Adhere to resort security policies and procedures, including key controls, lifting safety, chemical handling, and reporting safety hazards.
