Child Developmental Behavior Specialist
At Soar Autism Center, we are committed to enriching the lives of children on the autism spectrum. As we continually innovate and refine our care model, this role is pivotal. Our methods are grounded in the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play‑based approach within Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy.
By joining our team, you'll play a crucial role in advancing our mission‑driven care model.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver individualized ABA therapy sessions to children aged 2-6 in our clinic, adhering to rigorous professional standards.
- Implement intervention plans developed by our expert Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), ensuring alignment with ABA therapy principles.
- Build rapport and maintain ongoing communication with families, providing regular progress updates within the ABA framework.
- Participate in continuous training and professional development to stay abreast of advancements in ABA therapy and maintain certification.
- Preferably enrolled in or completed a degree program focused on Child Development, Psychology, or related fields.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (paid training provided).
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with autism, and a passion for helping them thrive.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Reliable transportation to training location and local center; punctuality essential.
- Must meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client.
- Competitive compensation ranging from $21.50 to $28.50 per hour, with regular bonus and promotion opportunities; all staff members considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion.
