You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.

Bio Life Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.

You will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist works under guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. The role requires familiarity with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment, follows guidance provided by Bio Life Medical Affairs, and provides center-level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions as they occur at the facility and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including the development of Center Physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for findings that require professional guidance or medical/technical decisions concerning donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine additional evaluation needs under occupational health/ER guidelines, referring to EHS guidance for employee incidents.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats within the local community.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (LPN or LVN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy in the state of licensure.
• Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
