We’re seeking a Staff Accountant to support our Tax team with multi‑state sales and use tax compliance. This role will work cross‑functionally, analyze complex tax data, and provide insights that directly impact daily operations. Candidates with commercial real estate escrow experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do- Prepare multi‑state sales & use tax filings and related compliance tasks
- Compile and analyze tax data from multiple sources
- Query and validate financial data using SQL
- Reconcile key General Ledger accounts
- Partner with internal teams to resolve tax-related issues
- Manage exemption certificates and tax correspondence
- Research multi‑state tax rules and registration requirements
- Identify and improve process efficiencies
- Support special projects as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting/tax experience (indirect tax a plus)
- Escrow experience within commercial real estate is highly preferred
- Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate clearly
