Snell & Wilmer, one of the largest law firms in the Western United States, is seeking a full-time Trust & Retainer Specialist to join our Finance Department in our Phoenix
office
.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills who can manage financial transactions accurately while maintaining excellent communication with attorneys, staff, and clients.
The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Once fully trained
, you may have the option to work a hybrid schedule with flexibility to adjust based on business needs.
- Record and process funds received into trust and retainer accounts
- Obtain appropriate authorizations and process disbursements in accordance with firm policies and procedures
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with financial and accounting standards
- Investigate and resolve questions related to transactions, balances, or payment processing
- Maintain clear and professional communication with attorneys, staff, and clients regarding trust and retainer activity
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships across departments to support efficient financial operations
- 2 to 3 years of experience working with accounts payable, accounts receivable
, or related accounting functions - Associate Degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required
- Large law firm experience is a plus
- Experience with accounting or financial management systems preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a professional environment
