This is a high‑impact leadership role overseeing all accounting, payroll, cash flow, compliance, and financial reporting across a growing, multi‑entity organization.

As Controller, you’ll own the financial engine of the business:

• Lead all transactional accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger
• Oversee weekly payroll
• Manage daily banking activity including ACH, wires, and checks
• Ensure timely collections, deposits, and vendor payments (yes—capturing discounts!)
• Direct monthly and annual close
  , ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and present monthly financial statements and variance analysis

• Establish, document, and maintain strong internal controls
• Protect company assets through disciplined cash management and policies
• Ensure compliance with all tax, regulatory, benefits, ESOP, 401(k), and loan covenant requirements
• Oversee relationships with external CPAs, banks, lenders, legal, insurance, and benefits providers
• Ensure appropriate commercial insurance coverage across the organization
• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting
• Manage cash flow, debt payments, and savings
• Provide leadership with data‑driven insights to support strategic decisions
• Act as a trusted financial partner to managers and cross‑functional teams

• Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing accounting team
• Recruit, train, coach, and mentor accounting staff
• Maintain SOPs and documentation for all critical financial processes
• Foster collaboration and financial literacy across the organization

• 10+ years of accounting/finance experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles (Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager)
• Strong, hands‑on experience across all areas of accounting
• Proven ability to improve processes and automate workflows
• Experience working with multiple legal entities
• Solid background in budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis
• ERP system experience
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel matters here 📊)
• Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail and sound judgment

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration (required)
