Sr Financial Analyst

Overview

This a key role within the Aerospace Finance Reporting team and will report to the Manager, Finance Reporting. The primary role of the Business Analyst is to provide support for the various Aerospace Finance Reporting systems – Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and FDM (Upstream). The Business Analyst position requires an individual that has both functional and technical knowledge and skills.

The Business Analyst must be able to quickly integrate him/herself into the organization in order to understand the structure of the applications currently used and the corresponding processes. The Business Analyst must also be able to propose/implement new processes that enhance functionality and/or improve efficiencies. The Business Analyst will also meet with various groups within Aerospace Finance to capture end user requirements and offer solutions.

• Daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and support of current Finance Reporting systems.
• Updating current process documentation and propose/implement improvements, as needed.
• Assist end user groups in developing Business Cases, capturing requirements, and defining deliverables
• Develop and manage project plans and timelines, as needed.
• Assist with implementation of new systems and/or upgrades of existing systems.
• Upgrade interfaces as businesses go live on SAP

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Information Systems.
• Minimum of two years of directly related experience.
• Direct experience with Hyperion Essbase, HFM, and Microsoft Access preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP a plus.
• Previous experience working in a financial systems type organization highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to play a key role in developing and implementing new financial systems and/or process improvements.
