Wealth Strategist II- Financial Planning and Insurance Strategy

What you’ll do

• Develop goal‑based strategies for clients with complex needs using a team approach that requires specific technical knowledge in a particular subject matter area.
• Partner with Financial Advisors to strengthen delivery of complex financial plans for high‑value clients and prospects, providing guidance and resources to enhance confidence and create an exceptional client experience.
• Communicate with financial advisors and clients to gain understanding of client needs, aid in documenting client goals, articulate investment strategy recommendations, identify expertise needed to help the client achieve their goal, and help build relationships with clients and financial advisors.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for a specific topic that supports the creation of goal‑based advice recommendations for clients with complex needs.
• Contribute to firm‑wide goals, projects and initiatives in order to better serve branch teams and clients.
• Drive department and team‑wide goals, projects and initiatives in order to better serve branch teams and clients.
• Serve as subject matter expert for complex cases requiring deep technical knowledge and experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Law required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Series 7 and 66 required within 6 months of hire.
• Insurance license required 6 months of hire.
• CFP® or CFA designation in accordance with firm policy.

• 7+ years of experience in the financial services industry preferred.

• Personal initiative and ability to collaborate.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to lead small groups and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to lead a client meeting.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Understanding of Financial Advisor and Branch Team Support Member processes including the implementation of Core wealth, Banking, and Financial Planning offerings.
• Understanding and alignment with the firm values, beliefs, policies, procedures as well as business objectives.
• Proficiency using financial planning software or tools and interpreting results.
• Ability to interpret and leverage firm advice and guidance to support the branch in creating a tailored solution for each client.
• Understanding of financial planning concepts and strategies.

• Problems faced by associates in this role tend to be advanced, complex and unstructured. Achieve results independently and occasionally through others.

• The span of influence in this position is high. Wealth Management Consultation partners with Financial Planning, Investment Advisory, Advice & Guidance, Banking, Wealth Management Enablement, and other WMAS areas such as Client Consultation Group. Regularly interface with associates and leaders in Branch Development, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Risk, Products, Product Review, Operations, Service and Solutions.
