Position Overview

The Northern Trust Company seeks an Associate Specialist, Fund Administration, HFS to review daily and monthly funds and business entity closing summaries. Report and analyze financial data to be disseminated to clients and investors. Close daily and monthly books and records of funds to generate and QC Fund management and incentive fees and fund performance figures. Prepare financial statements for funds and ensure accuracy of annual financial statements.

Resolve accounting-related questions on financial transactions and resolve technical accounting policy questions.

Responsibilities
  • Review daily and monthly funds and business entity closing summaries.
  • Report and analyze financial data to be disseminated to clients and investors.
  • Close daily and monthly books and records of funds to generate and QC Fund management and incentive fees and fund performance figures.
  • Prepare financial statements for funds and ensure accuracy of annual financial statements.
  • Resolve accounting-related questions on financial transactions.
  • Resolve technical accounting policy questions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in fund administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience delivering Net Asset Value and Gross Asset Value packs to clients according to schedule.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing accurate booking and review of all capital activities.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience analyzing fund manager statements to facilitate accurate valuation of a fund.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience performing reconciliation of valuations.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience gathering business requirements for GAP analysis and preparing Functional Requirement Documents.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience reviewing monthly fund and business entity closing summaries.
Work Conditions

Part-time telecommuting may be permitted. 5% domestic and international travel required.

Rate of Pay: $90,820.00 - $ per year.

Salary Range: $90,820.00 - $
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits.
