SUMMARY:
Kestra Financial is seeking a dynamic and motivated Lead of our Advisor Compensation team. This role is responsible for shaping and leading the teams that process the weekly compensation to our financial professionals as well as overseeing the Advisor and Client fees processing. The ideal candidate is strategic in moving the department forward through process reinvention, proactive planning, and consistent, constructive feedback to team members and peers.

- Direct responsibility for the Producer Compensation and Fee Billing Teams and ensuring the team focuses on service, accuracy and prompt compensation payments and advisor fee processing.
- Ability to incorporate all advisor billing and NFS client billing into the Producer Compensation Team.
- Direct impact of the operational efficiency and accuracy of the various department processes through regular process review and changes;
Ask “why” and work quickly to uncover root causes and assess needed changes when issues arise. - Ensure regulatory and firm compliance, including adherence to firm mandates, for all compensation activities, including establishing and maintaining key audit objectives to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations and accounting control practices.
- Regularly strategize on improvements with internal stakeholders, including Accounting, Compensation Paying Product Owners, Compliance and Business Development while reducing exception processing.
- Regularly provide honest, clear feedback and ensure accountability to team members and peers to keep doing what is working and quickly improve what is not.
- Responsible for the department budget as well as providing promotion recommendations.
- Stay ahead of the needs of others as dictated by the company value of “serve” through proactive identification of challenges and development of preemptive solutions.
- Work in partnership with fellow management team to champion strategic decisions and hold team members and fellow stakeholders accountable.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

- Has a strong knowledge of financial industry advisor compensation processing and regulations.

- Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to educate and be concise.
