Industrial Engineer

Butler National Corporation specializes in manufacturing gun control equipment, gun simulators and related custom test equipment, rapid integration of weapon-control systems, and ruggedized weapon/instrument cabling solutions.

The Industrial Engineer applies lean manufacturing, data-driven analysis, and continuous improvement methods to reduce waste, control costs, enhance reliability, and support prototyping and production. The position works closely with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to streamline workflows, improve tests, and validation processes.

• Communicate with management and necessary parties to develop and enhance production and design standards.
• Document, analyze, design, and improve production methods, workflows, and operating procedures to improve efficiency.
• Conduct time studies, work measurement, and capacity analysis.
• Develop, track, and report operational performance metrics.
• Estimate production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Consult with clients, vendors, staff, and align procurement requirements, technical specifications, production capabilities, and timelines.
• Train and support operations personnel on new processes and systems
• Assist with troubleshooting opportunities that arise in product testing or delivery.
• Represent Butler National in a professional manner at all times.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related discipline required.
• Experience applying and implementing lean manufacturing principles in a production system.
• Strong understanding of all safety regulations and procedures.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Knowledge of operating material handling equipment.
• Ability to review documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
