Provides project management and engineering support for planning, design, procurement, construction, and testing & commissioning of high-value electric utility substation and transmission line projects, typically ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV.
What You'll Do- Lead project management and engineering activities, including planning, design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning for major power delivery infrastructure projects.
- Oversee all technical aspects of project activities with a matrix team of internal departments and external contractors.
- Lead development of feasibility studies, scopes of work, cost estimates, schedules, conceptual designs, major materials lists, outage planning, construction sequences, and technical aspects for RFPs.
- Coordinate with internal and contract team members and external customers to determine project requirements and identify feasible solutions.
- Review project documentation—including study reports, design drawings, constructability plans, specifications, and customer contracts—and provide technical support.
- Communicate project updates, maintain accurate records, and provide visibility into risks.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard processes for all project stakeholders.
- Monitor project budget and schedule; provide leadership to support performance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Experience in substation design preferred.
- Strong budgeting and scheduling skills.
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Proficiency with engineering tools (computer, test equipment, etc.).
Five (5) years of full‑time engineering practice with proven accomplishment of senior‑level engineering responsibilities.
EducationBachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution required; master's degree preferred.
Hybrid WorkplaceEmployees may telework up to three days per week; must live and work in Arizona.
