This full‑time position requires 40 hours per week in our Tempe office and is not remote or hybrid. We seek a Structural Design Engineer to design water/wastewater structures and support related projects.

• Perform detailed structural design, analysis, engineering calculations, and assist in developing construction drawings and specifications for water/wastewater projects
• Conduct structural investigations and assist in preparing reports and cost estimates
• Perform routine engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
• Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger projects
• Provide direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis
• EIT certification or ability to obtain
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Mathcad, TEDDS, or similar analytical software
• Experience with SAP
  2000, STAAD, or similar finite element software for analysis
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar detailing and drawing production software
• Team‑oriented with the ability to manage studies, detailed design, and engineering services during construction for diverse projects
• Analytical and organizational skills to support multiple projects simultaneously
• Self‑directed learning, adaptability, ownership of work, and commitment to deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and coordination with cross‑disciplinary teams
• Willingness to innovate and apply creative engineering solutions

• Master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis
• Previous structural design experience (internship or full‑time work)
• PE certification with structural engineering design experience
• Experience with construction‑related engineering services, including review of shop drawings, RFIs, etc.
