Project Manager - Water Design Build role at Jacobs
Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
Join our Design‑Build water team and help protect one of our planet’s most precious resources. As the Water/Wastewater Project Manager, you will lead project teams on water‑related projects across the region, engage with clients, promote business development, and drive project delivery to meet cost, schedule, quality, information, and contractual goals.
Responsibilities- Overall project delivery of single or multiple assignments (cost, schedule, quality, information, contracts).
- Implement Design‑Build process including alternatives, cost estimating, risk quantification, supply chain selection, budgets, schedules, and all commercial aspects.
- Manage project development from conception through completion in accordance with program objectives.
- Handle budgets, schedules, scope development, design and construction contracts, documents, procedures, and controls.
- Review and approve consultant invoices, contractor pay applications, and change orders; coordinate with Control Manager for reporting.
- Attend project meetings, issue minutes, and resolve complex construction‑related issues, disputes, and disagreements.
- Monitor construction database for schedule and cost variances and report on performance.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field, OR 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Ten+ years in Design‑Build of water, wastewater, water resources, and/or conveyance projects.
- Preferred certifications:
Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (PE), or Architect license. - Willingness to travel as required.
- Physical capacity to perform essential tasks: standing, walking, climbing, and handling equipment typical of water and wastewater design‑build work.
