• Position will report to the Arizona campuses EHS lead responsible for operations in Arizona. Position will work closely with site management in RD&E and other EHS staff to drive environmental, safety and health programs, ensure regulatory compliance and promote continuous improvement.
• Ensures proper investigations of accident / incidents conducted for EH&S events and drives corrective actions. Act as liaison with regulatory authorities for safety requirements.
• Track and trend EH&S related legislation and take appropriate action to comply with requirements. Communicates EH&S issues to all necessary management and employees. Generates necessary reports and documentation. Lead the investigation into accidents and provide feedback to relevant parties for corrective action.
• Review and report EH&S progress and performance for assigned site/function.
• Ensures compliance with required codes, standards, and regulations. Act as a liaison with local, regional, or federal regulatory authorities. Manage metrics and reporting.
• Oversees accident / incident investigations and analyzes pertinent data. Documents results.
• Performs a wide range of health and safety compliance duties including equipment and facility permitting, compliance auditing, management of change and chemical authorization approvals, record keeping and reporting, liaison with the local authorities.
• Ensure environmental, health and safety programs and management systems are in place and effective to minimize the risks to employees, the environment and the community. Some of the Key Environmental, Health and Safety programs for the site include:

• Ensures compliance with required health and safety, fire code and building codes, standards and regulations. Act as a liaison with local, regional or federal regulatory authorities.
• Ensures proper investigations of environmental, health and safety incidents conducted for EH&S events and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Review and report environmental, health and safety progress and performance for assigned site/function based on established EH&S metrics to site management.
• Ensures that specific projects assigned are completed as planned to meet EH&S goals. Provides management with updates and escalation on projects/programs. Maintain communication channel with site/location functions.
