Job Summary
The Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is a specialized certified assignment that instructs students with a hearing loss. The Teacher assesses and provides instructional services to students. The Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing consults with classroom teachers, educational sign language interpreters, related service providers, district nurses, audiologists, parents and students to address the stated needs in a student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Special Education;
Holds an ADE teaching certificate in Hearing Impairment;
Valid Arizona Teacher Certification;
Valid IVP Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
