Are you passionate about nurturing and educating young learners? Do you thrive in a collaborative, play-based learning environment? New Horizon Little Learners in Tempe, AZ is looking for a dedicated Full-Time Lead Teacher to join our caring and dynamic early childhood education team!
As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children, while mentoring classroom staff and building strong partnerships with families.

- Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of children in your care at all times
- Foster a warm, responsive, and nurturing environment where children can explore and grow
- Design and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans focused on sensory exploration, motor skills, language, and emotional development
- Monitor developmental milestones and maintain accurate documentation
- Communicate daily with parents through Brightwheel updates, conferences, and informal conversations
- Lead and mentor assistant/co-teachers in the classroom
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and licensing compliance
- Rotate toys and learning materials monthly to ensure a stimulating environment
- Create lasting impressions through positive guidance and compassionate interactions
Qualifications:
- Must be 18+ years old
- High School diploma or GED required
- 6+ months of paid experience working in an early childhood setting
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (required prior to start)
- Food Handler Card, preferred
- Passion for early childhood education and eagerness to grow and learn
- Knowledge of child development and early learning best practices
- Skills in curriculum planning and behavioral observation
- Strong communication, empathy, and patience
- Ability to organize, plan, and problem-solve
- Adaptability, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit
- Comfort in managing classroom transitions and schedules
