Outreach Analyst 2 – Outreach Programs
Time Type: Full time
Pay: $37,000 – $47,000 per year; DOE

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Position Summary: Develops community outreach program activities and coordinates program fundraising to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and local community.
Essential Duties- Operationalize the America Reads After school Program, including managing day-to-day operations of the After school, Classroom, and Online programs.
- Monitor human resource functions for program staff, ASU students, and community educators, including interviewing, hiring, employment, payroll, and evaluations.
- Supervise America Reads Site‑Managers and Student Workers.
- Hold weekly one‑on‑one and program meetings with direct reports and bi‑weekly meetings with student staff to provide feedback and coaching.
- Facilitate job skill training and monitor mandatory training participation for student workers.
- Implement and update program policies and handbooks.
- Compile and analyze program assessment and evaluations.
- Understand program budget parameters and control expenditures in accordance with budget allocations.
- Maintain program logistics, alignment to state standards and best practices in program delivery.
- Maintain safe environments for all participants.
- Build relationships with existing site partners through in‑person visits, Zoom meetings, phone calls, e‑mails, and appreciation efforts in collaboration with America Reads staff and student workers.
- Provide prospective and new partners with comprehensive information regarding America Reads programs.
- Work with all Access ASU teams and internal ASU partnerships to strengthen and support student experiences.
- Participate in department, program and staff meetings; attend seminars, workshops and conferences.
- Assist with other projects, reports and duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of issues pertaining to area of assignment.
- Knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of basic project management.
- Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.
- Practical work experience in K‑12 learning environments.
- Experience in supervising employees.
- Experience in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Experience in planning, organization and coordination of activities.
- Skill in coordinating and prioritizing work and activities of self and others.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Skill in both verbal and written communication.
- Activities performed in an environmentally controlled office setting, subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
- Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include resolution of conflicts.
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions.
Driving is not required for this position.
