Entry Level Retail Interior Designer

Retail supper store that specialises in selling and servicing area rugs with a variaty of rugs for high end homes and luxury clients.

This is a full-time on-site role for an Entry Level Retail Interior Designer located in Tempe, AZ. The entry level interior designer job role will be responsible for assisting customers with sales and picking out the best area rugs for the customers space, helping customers with planning, developing design concepts, creating a full solution for the client and his selected furniture at home.

Daily tasks include collaborating with team members, following up with customers and documenting all aspects and steps of the sale, and ensuring all selected rugs align with client needs and estethics. The ideal candidate will work closely with the customer and services team to deliver cohesive and innovative home spaces that leave the customers in joy.

• Proficiency in Space Planning and Interior Design principles
• Understanding of Architecture and space layout
• Knowledge of FF&E specification and selection processes
• Strong visual and creative design skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Sketch Up, or similar tools
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• Willingness to work on-site and collaborate with team members in Tempe, AZ
• Previous internship or working experience in retail design is a plus
• Sales, retail and customer service experience is a plus
