Job Description

Performance Contracting, Inc (PCI) is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for its Masthead International, Inc (MII) - 521 Tempe division based in Tempe, AZ. This individual will be estimating upcoming rigging projects (semiconductor, data center, misc.) and is responsible for the following duties:

  • Preparation of request for proposal for applicable scopes of work needed.
  • Ability to receive and evaluate subcontractor quotes for applicable scopes and alignment with bid documents.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with local customer base.
  • Work directly with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers and contractors.
  • Attend pre-bid walkthroughs.
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs & estimates.
  • Breakdown projects into functional stages.
  • Accurately review project schedules for applicable scopes.
  • Prepare bid analysis and review.
  • Prepare a financial job cost analysis.
  • Resource subcontractors, materials and equipment.
  • Conduct bid reviews.
  • Train and lead other team members as needed.
  • Ownership of business metrics and sales plan.
  • Participate in bid strategy meetings for all major pursuits.

This position is safety-sensitive.

Salary range: $94,000-$126,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

Basic Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • At least 7-10 years of estimating rigging (semiconductor, data center, misc.) projects.
  • Experience with estimating/project management/managing rigging scopes.
  • Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for MII’s scopes of work.
  • Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
  • Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes.
  • Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, and Blue Beam Revu.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and expand on different product line knowledge.
Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management.
  • Local to Phoenix metro area is preferred.
