As a Lead Subcontracts Specialist here at Honeywell, you will establish and drive procurement of material and services in alignment with business leadership for your assigned commodity/category and/or region as per the Annual Operating Plan. You will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, as well as Export/Import regulations. You will report directly to our Director of Strategic Sourcing and you'll work out of our Tempe, Arizona location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the evaluation of bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), company policies and program requirements. Your expertise in subcontract management will be crucial in identifying and resolving subcontract issues and developing mutually acceptable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing all U.S. Government (USG) end use subcontracts with suppliers that will provide products and services necessary to perform install operations to our customers throughout the life cycle of a project.
- Work with a sense of urgency; proactively engage with the internal program office/index and support lead Program Managers when dealing with matters of subcontractor cost, performance, and schedule.
- Administer existing subcontracts with interaction with Program, Project, and Cost/Estimating Teams.
- 6 or more years of procurement/subcontracts administration experience.
- DoD procurement subcontracting experience (FAR
15) - Detailed understanding of DoD Procurement Life Cycle
- Experience with Federal Acquisitions Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
- Bachelor's degree or MBA preferred.
- Experience working with subcontractors during all phases of the program lifecycle.
