The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of payroll via payroll system. This role responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks as well as coordinates with outside service providers. Additionally, this role works closely with the departments Staff Accountants, communicating payroll specific reporting. This position also maintains employee personnel files and some benefit administration.
Our ideal candidate has at least 1-2 years of current payroll processing experience. You’re very detail oriented, able to multi-task, and meet deadlines with strong accuracy. You enjoy helping your fellow employees with various payroll & benefit inquiries and bring an overall positive attitude to the office!

- Calculate wages based on jobs completed, process payroll for employees, and ensure timely payments
- Keep accurate payroll records, including commission sheets, deductions, and timesheets
- Prepare and distribute payroll detail reports to employees and management
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies and provide assistance with payroll-related issues
- Back up for employee deductions, bonuses, entering new hires, terminations, processing payroll and preparing payroll reports for management and accounting purposes.

- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access office machinery (copier/printer, etc.)
- Constantly operates office machinery, such as a computer, phone, copy machine, printer.
- Constantly communicates with management team and coworkers. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
- Constantly works in an inside office setting
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Previous experience in payroll processing or related field
- Proficiency in UKG/Service Titan and Microsoft Excel is essential for managing payroll data effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring accuracy in payroll processing
- Good communication skills are necessary for interacting with employees and addressing their concerns
