SummaryAn Activities Coordinator collaborates with an Event Strategist, typically handling a variety of responsibilities to ensure the seamless execution of programs and activities. This role is crucial in planning, organizing, and coordinating event setups, ensuring smooth logistics, facilitating enjoyable guest experiences, and maintaining high standards for event presentations and functionality.
What You'll Do- Working closely with an Event Strategist, the Activities Coordinator ensures that the strategic vision for events is effectively translated into engaging and well-executed activities.
- Coordinate logistics which may involve booking conference rooms, arranging transportation, and setting up and breaking down event spaces.
- Conduct site inspections and walkthroughs.
- Perform a variety of office and administrative tasks with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, ensuring efficient and accurate support for daily operations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements to protect guests, staff, and participants.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during activities or events to ensure participant safety and satisfaction.
- Assist in budget management, expense tracking, and procurement of supplies and equipment.
- Creating promotional materials and using various platforms to advertise events and activities to maximize participation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment, set up event spaces, and participate in onsite coordination activities.
- Flexible schedule required, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed to accommodate events.
- Prior exposure to event and activities coordinator or customer service, through internships, volunteering, or assisting with event is highly valued.
- High school diploma or GED.
We are an 83 acre Recreational Facility for SRP employees and their guests. PERA has been in business for more than 65 years. In 2019 we built a brand new facility that includes meetings rooms, an employee store, fitness center, a bar, and full service kitchen for catering events.
