Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Tempe, Arizona. This long-term contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with expertise in managing accounts receivable, collections, and cash applications. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle billing functions and commercial collections efficiently.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.

- Oversee commercial collections to ensure timely payments from clients.

- Apply cash receipts to appropriate accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing functions and maintain accurate records.

- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts to minimize delinquencies.

- Generate and review invoices to ensure compliance with company policies.

- Prepare detailed reports on accounts receivable activity for management review.

- Maintain organized documentation of transactions and communications with clients.

- Support audits and reconciliations by providing accurate financial information.

- Address customer inquiries related to billing and payments promptly and professionally. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable and commercial collections.

- Proficiency in cash application processes and billing systems.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.

- Familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliation procedures.

- Knowledge of relevant accounting software and tools.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in financial records.
