Job Summary
Accounts Payable Supervisor oversees the Accounts Payable and Purchasing department functions, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, vendor management, and month‑end close activities.
Ideal Candidates- Several years of hands‑on AP experience (invoice processing, three‑way matching, vendor management, payment runs, and month‑end close)
- Prior experience supervising or mentoring AP staff
- Strong working knowledge of accounting systems and Excel
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and vendors
- Detail‑oriented and accurate
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple deadlines
- A clear and professional communicator
- A supportive leader who can coach and develop their team
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions‑focused
- Act as a reliable backup and point of escalation when needed
- Assist with workload planning, prioritization, and deadline management
- Help implement process improvements and best practices
- Provide insight, reporting, and recommendations to support department goals
$75,000 – $83,000 per year.
Qualifications- Must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Must have a minimum of ten (10) years recent experience in Accounts Payable.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years recent supervisory experience in Accounts Payable.
- Must have a minimum of four (4) years recent experience in Purchasing Management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and general accounting software; strong typing/data entry skills.
- Self‑motivated, positive approach, and professional demeanor.
- Promote company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
- Proven problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills; effective oral and written communication.
- Physical ability to operate office equipment.
