We’re on the search for a Full-Time Assistant Manager who will help lead our civic-minded, pop culture driven brand. You’ll support the Store Manager in achieving store objectives with regards to hitting sales targets, recruiting, and development.
Salary: $20.25 - $24.30 an hour. Please note that the pay range starts as listed, but final salary depends on factors such as education, location, meeting minimum job requirements, training and experience.
What You'll Do- Support your Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and/or comp sales goals.
- Help recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative, passionate team.
- Create buzz and customer engagement through promotion of new products and use of social media; promote services like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
- Provide leadership around running an operationally sound business with a balance of operations, delegation/autonomy, and customer-first selling practices.
- Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules.
- Communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback.
- Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy to hit sales targets.
- merchandise the store in a compelling way, leverage planograms, and launch promos on time.
- Develop a team of loyal, high-performing, customer-focused associates in partnership with the Store Manager.
- At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience. Passion for philanthropy and pop culture is a plus.
- Strong skills in communication, recruiting, operations (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising), and developing teammates.
- Excellent communication, time management, professionalism, and a drive to develop others.
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED (degree is a plus).
- Ability to adapt to a fast-changing retail environment and handle a range of tasks; ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and handle items up to 50 pounds.
