Electron Microscope Operator​/Technician II

Our client, a leading organization in the medical device industry, is seeking an Electron Microscope Operator/Technician II to join their team. As an Electron Microscope Operator/Technician II, you will be part of the R&D and Production Engineering department supporting technical analysis and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Electron Microscope Operator/Technician II

Location:Temecula, CA

Pay Range: $28/hr

What's the Job?

• Conduct microscopic and elemental analyses using electron and optical microscopes to support R&D, production, and quality assurance teams.
• Prepare samples for various types of analysis, including inorganic materials and metallurgical samples, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Evaluate written requests for material analysis, determining whether in-house technology can fulfill the request or if external laboratories are needed.
• Create detailed reports using Laboratory Information System (LIMS), archiving data, images, and analysis results for record-keeping and review.
• Maintain laboratory instrumentation, ensuring proper calibration, operation, and scheduling repairs or service as needed.

What's Needed?

• Associate's degree or equivalent in microscopy, materials science, or related field, with 6 months to 2 years of hands-on experience using electron microscopes.
• Strong understanding of sample preparation techniques for electron microscopy and elemental analysis.
• Experience with laboratory procedures, report writing, and compliance with cGMP standards.
• Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot equipment issues, and follow detailed operating procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality results and documentation.
