Displays the ability to document pertinent patient data, nursing interventions and patient responses.

Documentation is accurate, timely, concise and legible.

Demonstrates the ability to perform rapid assessments differentiating between short and long term needs.

Protects the rights of the patient, the perianesthesia nurse and the facility by providing legal and ethical healthcare by ethical conduct and a clear understanding of legal guidelines.

Is competent to monitor the patient s hemodynamic state and interpret the results.

Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias.

Demonstrates the ability to provide appropriate patient/family teaching pre and post procedure.

Accurately completes and utilizes consents and other forms.

One (1) year experience in an operating room setting in an acute care facility required

Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing Program

Current California Registered Nursing license

BLS, ACLS (AHA) required
