Registered Nurse - Cardiac CathReporting to the Director of Cardiac Services or designated supervisors and charge nurses, the RN performs initial assessment, reports abnormal findings, collaborates with the anesthesiologist and specialist, and identifies the need for further assessment based on the patient’s clinical presentation and tolerance of diagnostic testing or scheduled procedure.
EssentialJob Duties
The Cardiac Cath RN performs initial assessment appropriate to the patient’s clinical presentation, pre‑screens patient lab work, mobility, allergies and medication history before invasive diagnostic testing or procedures, notifies the physician if an invasive test or procedure is impacted, and documents nursing interventions and patient teaching. The RN is responsible for the plan of discharge or transfer.
QualificationsFive years critical‑care experience required; procedure experience preferred. Interventional Neurology and/or EP experience strongly preferred. Current California RN license (maintained), BSN preferred. BLS and ACLS licenses (maintained) required.
