Clinical Nurse Supervisor; RN-ICU​/PCU Float-Part Time Nights-Temecula Valley Hospital

Responsibilities

The Nursing Supervisor will supervise critical care units to include ICU and/or PCU units as assigned. The Supervisor will assist with the planning and yearly needs assessment for the unit's budget, monitor patient care activities within budget, daily census and staff usage, and identify cost reduction opportunities. The Supervisor will oversee daily charging process and ensure staff education and participation in appropriate assignment of patient charges.

The Nursing Supervisor effectively delegates shift tasks and assignments to appropriate health care team members, maintains a positive relationship with the Medical Staff, and identifies opportunities to improve service relations. The candidate assists Director/Manager as needed with department operational responsibilities including accurate and timely input of employee hours and QA data collection.

• Two (2) years of recent department specific experience required
• Charge nurse, supervisory expertise in department specific preferred
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing Program
• BSN preferred
• Registered Nurse with current California RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certification
• Basic EKG/tele interpretation required or completing a Basic EKG class within six months of employment
• CPI certification within the first 90 days of hire
• NIHSS required within 3 months of hire
