Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - PCU The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for documenting all activities performed in accordance with established policy. Observes patient behavior, focusing on biophysical, developmental, cognitive, emotional, spiritual and sociocultural needs. Performs the secretarial/clerical aspects of patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The CNA must be able to prioritize and process physician orders accurately and within designated time frames;

seeking assistance as needed. The CNA is responsible for answering patient calls, receiving, greeting, and directing patients/visitors; recording and delivering messages for patients/staff.

• Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant certificate
• BLS Certification (AHA and current)
• CPI or NCI certified within 90 days of hire and annual renewal thereafter
• Ability to work in high volume, fluctuating census environment.
• Subject to many interruptions.
