As the Regional BCBA, you will play a pivotal role in transforming lives of students across multiple Spectrum School locations by providing tailored clinical and educational interventions, guiding and mentoring teams, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and promoting high-quality education and behavioral outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive training and continuous guidance to teachers and staff in designing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of academic instruction and behavioral support services to achieve exceptional outcomes.
  • Support staff by modeling best practices to promote student growth aligned with IEP goals.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions, apply proven behavioral strategies, and promote positive academic, social, emotional, and independent functioning.
  • Provide crisis management interventions for students exhibiting aggressive or self-injurious behaviors and develop strategies to reduce the need for 1:1 staffing.
  • Collaborate with on-site education teams to collect and analyze data on student behavior, monitor progress, and ensure intervention responsiveness.
  • Conduct quality checks across campuses and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Train and support local teams in behavioral assessment, intervention, PBIS, data collection, crisis management, and related topics.
  • Supervise and mentor staff pursuing BACB certification (RBT, BCaBA, BCBA).
  • Assist in developing and implementing improvement plans to enhance student performance and staff effectiveness.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, discuss behavioral needs, and contribute to comprehensive support strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to Department of Education regulations and internal standards across campuses.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, progress, and compliance activities.
  • Provide operational support focusing on academic achievement, behavioral support, staff retention, and development.
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, special education, or a closely related field.
  • Licensed or in the process of obtaining a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) credential.
  • Preferred:
    Education specialist or special education instruction credential.
  • Valid CA state driver’s license.
  • Certification in crisis management training.
  • Proficiency in ABA, PBIS, data-based decision making, FBA, and BIP.
  • Experience in special education services, classroom management, and individualized instruction.
  • Experience with students with autism spectrum disorders, emotional/behavioral disorders, and other disabilities.
  • Strong crisis management skills and ability to make independent decisions in emergencies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, database entry).
