Position SummaryThe CEO will provide executive leadership to advance high-quality patient care and improve the health of the Perry County community, in alignment with Board direction. The CEO will set and execute strategic priorities for PCMH and the Deaconess Health System, ensure excellence across all care settings, serve as a trusted advisor to the Board on organizational needs and healthcare trends, lead system growth in partnership with the Executive Team, and coach and develop senior leaders to drive performance and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:- To provide the appropriate health care services for the community with primary emphasis on patient care as directed and approved by the Board of Directors with the intent of improving the health status of the community. Provides strategic direction to the health system to achieve goals as approved by the Board of Directors.
- Provides for the best possible patient care through carefully developed policies and programs in all settings.
- Keeps up-to-date on trends in the health care industry.
- Provides for the Board of Directors the necessary knowledge regarding the needs of the health system.
- Originates and develops, in conjunction with the Executive Team, the overall plans and programs for the health system's growth and makes appropriate recommendations to the Board.
- Coaches and mentors leaders within the organization at all times.

Qualifications:Education
Master’s degree required (Health Care Administration or related field preferred)
Experience
Minimum of four years as a vice president and/or chief operations officer in a health system required
Operations responsibility, strategic planning, and facilities management
Creating joint venture, negotiating, team building, and managed care are necessary
