Leisure and Fitness Assistant

Overview

Telford & Wrekin Council, We are currently seeking a motivated and suitably skilled individual to join the leisure services team at Abraham Darby Sport and Leisure Centre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day supervision of the facilities including pool lifeguard duties, maintaining the cleaning and housekeeping standards of the facility, assisting with the Swim4

Life swimming lessons programme and undertaking fitness suite inductions as and when required. The successful candidate will work across a rota pattern that includes regular evening and weekend working.

• Supervise the facilities on a day-to-day basis, including pool lifeguard duties.
• Maintain cleaning and housekeeping standards of the facility.
• Assist with the Swim4
  
  Life swimming lessons programme.
• Undertake fitness suite inductions as required.
• Work across a rota pattern that includes regular evening and weekend working.

• RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and Level 2 Health & Fitness Certificate (or ability to achieve within 6 months) are requirements of the post.
• Previous experience in a Leisure environment is desirable and/or experience in a Customer service role.
