Operations Apprentice - Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment Technician

What We Are Looking For

RBSL is offering a three year Level 3 Apprenticeship in Safety Health and Environment to join our growing Early Careers community at our headquarters in Telford. RBSL is a growing and exciting business that specialises in the design, manufacture and support of military vehicles used by the British Army and has a growing dynamic Early Careers programme.

• Working week:
  Monday – Friday
• Total hours per week: 37
• Expected apprenticeship duration: 36 months
• Possible start date:
  September 2026
• Apprenticeship level:
  Higher Level Apprenticeship Level 3
• Positions: 1 position
• Closing date: 5th March (applications may be closed earlier)
• Interview date: tbc
• Pay: £22,500 – subject to pay award increase

This will involve training at college with the remainder of the time spent on site working within the Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) function of RBSL. When in the business the apprentice will spend time in various areas of the business function to gain knowledge and understanding of how each of these areas support the RBSL business. These placements will vary in length from 3 – 6 months, and will build upon the academic knowledge gained from the time at college.

Release to College where the apprentice will be studying for a Safety Health and Environment qualification. When in the business the apprentice will spend time in various areas of the SHE function, to build upon the knowledge and understanding gained whilst studying at college.

On successful completion of the two‑year apprenticeship, apprentices will be eligible to apply for available vacancies within RBSL.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

A minimum of 5 GCSE’s (Grade 4 or above), must include Maths and English – essential
