Cafe Team Member

About the role

As a Cafe Team Member at Tesco, you will support the café team with cooking, customer service, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. You will prepare, cook and serve food to the high standards of the Tesco café menu while upholding all safety and hygiene regulations.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils and customer tables.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) stock rotation procedures.
• Accept deliveries and safely store food.
• Adhere to all operational policies and business communications.
• Prepare meals according to the café menu and ensure accurate service.
• Resolve customer complaints and communicate issues to the Café Manager.
• Help keep the café clean and tidy by sanitising tables and surfaces.

• Knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Efficient work style and ability to maintain a clean environment.
• Comfortable working within a team and can multitask under pressure.
