For the successful Quality Manager our client is offering;
Salary of up to £47,000 per annum DOE
Monday – Thursday: 08.00am – 16.35pm, Friday: 08.00am – 13.00pm

The Role of the Quality Manager;
Review and revise the company’s quality procedures, standards and specifications
Review customer requirements and make sure that they are met
Work with purchasing to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
Set standards for Quality
Make sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards
Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency
Define quality procedures in conjunction with the operating staff
Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures
Monitor performance by gathering data and produce reports
Review existing policies and make suggestions for changes and improvements, and how to implement them
Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements
Liaise with other managers and staff and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards
Assess the effectiveness of changes made
Lead initiatives in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing
Ensure compliance with emerging standards (such as the international standard of ISO 9001:2015, IATF
16949, ISO
14001)
Train and manage a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors
What our client is looking for in a Quality Manager;
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an automotive environment - ESSENTIAL
Previous experience developing, implementing and maintaining QMS in line with standards such as ISO
9001, IATF
16949- ESSENTIAL
Planned and conducted internal audits and supported external audits, addressed non-conformities through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen and reduce defects, rework and waste while improving efficiency and customer satisfaction
Perform risk assessments (FMEA) and implement preventative controls to minimise quality and operational risks
Deliver quality awareness and compliance training across all departments
Handled customer complaints and quality issues professionally and effectively
Analysed Quality metrics (KPI’s, defect rates, audit results) and reported performance and improvement plans to senior managers
