We embrace family-centred care involving parents in all aspects of care and are proud of the services we deliver. We are able to offer training and support to care for neonates and their families. We have a robust 4 week induction and a supportive training programme to help you to settle in to the environment. We actively promote professional development, there is an expectation that all of our staff undertake and pass the Foundation Course in Neonatal Care and then go on to complete the Neonatal Intensive Care course.
This course also includes a rotation to a level three neonatal unit to enhance exposure to neonatal patients.
As part of our long-term vision to improve patient care and service delivery, our Service will relocate to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in 2028. We are actively recruiting and want applicants to be aware that successful candidates will be expected to move with the Service in early 2028.
The relocation will follow a formal management of change process, with full consultation and support for colleagues. Full details of HTP can be viewed on the Hospital Transformation Programme Webpage.
