Process Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Process Operative at our Telford site within the Muller Yogurts and Desserts business unit.

The purpose of this role is to operate and run the designated plant, achieve daily operations targets and maintain GMP standards within the process department.

Permanent, Full time contract

Telford

4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts, days and nights 7-7

• Deliver daily production plan
• Operate plant/equipment and perform routine basic maintenance
• Achieve daily KPI targets
• Work with Key Operators on start up procedures, ensuring good manufacturing, housekeeping, hygiene, and health and safety standards throughout production
• Ensure effective hand over between shifts, remaining on line until relief takes over
• Monitor product quality, highlight non-conformance and take appropriate corrective action
• Ensure SIC and Quality information is accurate, complete and timely
• Complete all documentation, keep it up to date and available
• Train operators, ensuring competence to perform allocated jobs
• Lead by example encouraging appropriate behavioural standards in support of Company values and culture
• Comply with food safety requirements, effectively control CCPs and adhere to site quality procedures
• Maintain Line/Area GMP standards and look to constantly improve
• Take reasonable care for the health, safety and welfare of themselves and others that may be affected by their acts or omissions
• Carry out any other duties that are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed
• Actively promote and comply with all Company Policies, Procedures and Values

• Proven mechanical aptitude
• Previous machine experience from within a fast moving production environment desirable
• Right first time: produces product to the required standard minimizing finished goods waste
• Experience with controlling material losses
• Confident with adherence to Standards (GMP)
• Experience with H&S Statistics (e.g., Accidents and Near Misses)
• Confident with teamwork & collaboration
• A flexible approach; able to adapt to changing daily production plans
• Able to demonstrate initiative and prioritisation skills
