Are you a Food Science / Technology student looking for a 12‑month placement in industry? As an inclusive, forward‑thinking business, we take pride in our approach to Technical across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Technical Placement Student to join our Technical Team, based at our advanced processing site in Telford, Shropshire.

Your working hours would be Monday to Friday 08.00‑17.00.

• Assisting the Product Specifications Co‑Ordinator & Production team with both new and existing products (QAS & Specifications)
• Control of Quality Management System, accurate maintenance, document control revision of procedures and forms
• Co‑ordination of GMP audits, ensuring all areas are regularly assessed to maintain compliance
• Submit lab sample data
• Planning, organisation and communication trials
• Co‑ordinating sampling
• Completion of technical information and project work

• A team player but with the ability to work effectively independently
• Adaptable to varied situations
• Excellent at communicating with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues
• Comfortable getting hands‑on
• Driven to achieve results and find solutions
• On course to be achieving a minimum of a 2:2 degree, ideally with a bias in food science degree
