Maintenance Technician

Owen Payne Recruitment are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturing client on a permanent basis located the Telford area.

Due to the nature of this role,
previous experience as a Maintenance Technician is essential.

• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled during the shift to a required standard
• Respond to emergency machine breakdowns throughout the plant
• Help with new designs, instillation of new machines and movements of existing machines
• Overhaul and repair of machines and equipment
• Ensuring machines and equipment are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.
• Conduct continuous machine observation, identifying potential safety risks and taking necessary actions to remove the hazard
• Conduct risk assessment prior to any maintenance work and ensure conclusions are implemented prior to start of work to remove hazards

• Must have minimum 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician
• Ability to logically find faults
• Able to read mechanical drawing
• Experience working with chain, sprocket, belt driven machinery
• Worked with circuits from 415 to 24
  
  VDC power & control
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance
• Follow company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety

• 06:45 – 16:00
  Monday to Friday – Early finish Fridays
• 40 hours work week

• 17.25 per hour
